Brethren (brothers and sisters), let us acknowledge our sins, and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.
I confess to almighty God and to you, my brothers and sisters
that I have greatly sinned,
in my thoughts and in my words,
in what I have done and in what I have failed to do,
through my fault, through my fault,
through my most grievous fault;
therefore I ask blessed Mary ever- Virgin,
all the Angels and Saints,
and you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord our God.

THE PROFESSION OF FAITH
I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and His kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen
PRAYER FOR MY YEAR OF GREATNESS, 2020
God our Father, You are Holy, You are Kind, Yor are Great. There is no other god like You. You created us in Your image and likeness. Without You, Nothing exists. You chose Abraham and made him Great. You said to him, “Through you, I will bless all the descendants of the Earth; I will bless those who bless you“.
In the name of Jesus Christ and by the power of the most high God, I have declared this year 2020 MY YEAR OF GREATNESS.
Lord, make me great. Bless me with the blessings of Abraham that I may be a blessing to others. Give success to the work of my hands. Save and protect me from sickness – spiritual or physical, and deliver me from the power of darkness.
Whatever plan an enemy has against me or my family will not prevail. Give me the grace to overcome challenges that may hinder me from attaining my Greatness. Angels of God, guide my steps in the path of success.
Mary my dearest mother, intercede for me that I may celebrate my Greatness this year.
By this declaration, let there be thanksgivings of promotion and success in our offices, businesses, marriages, and studies, through Christ our Lord, Amen.

Mary my dearest mother,

My dear angel guardian,

PRAYER AFTER HOLY COMMUNION
O Sacrament most Holy,
O Sacrament Divine,
All praise and all thanksgiving,
Be every moment Thine.
PRAYER TO SAINT FRANCIS OF ASISI
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
By the sign of the holy cross, deliver us from all our enemies – O our God. Amen.
PRAYER FOR NIGERIA IN DISTRESS
All-powerful and merciful Father
You are a God of justice love and peace,

Power and might are in your hands and no one can withstand you.
We present our country Nigeria before you,
We praise and thank you for you are the source of all we have and are,
We are sorry for all the sins we have committed and for the good deeds we have failed to do.
In your loving forgiveness keep us safe from the punishment we deserve.
Lord, we are weighed down not only by uncertainties but also by moral, economic and political problems.
Listen to the cries of Your people who confidently turn to You.
God of infinite goodness, our strength in adversity, our health in weakness, our comfort in sorrow
Be merciful to us your people; spare this nation Nigeria from chaos, anarchy, and doom.
Bless us with your kingdom of justice, love, and peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
PRAYER AGAINST BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION IN NIGERIA
Father in Heaven you always provide for all your creatures so that all may live as you have willed.
You have blessed our country Nigeria with rich human and natural resources to be used to your honor and glory and for the well being of every Nigerian.
We are deeply sorry for the wrong use of these your gifts and blessings through acts of injustice, bribery, and corruption as a result of which many of our people are hungry, sick, ignorant and defenseless.
Father, you alone can heal us and our nation of this sickness. We beg you, touch our lives and the lives of our leaders and people so that we may all realize the evil of bribery and corruption and work hard to eliminate it.
Raise up for us God-fearing people and leaders who care for us and who will lead us in the path of peace, prosperity, and progress. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Have Mercy on us.

MORNING OFFERING
One of the following may be chosen
A
O Jesus, I come before you at the beginning of this day.
I gaze at your face,
I look upon your side pierced by the lance.
Your wounded heart speaks to me
of God’s love poured out for us.
Take, Lord, and receive my heart:
the words of faith that I speak,
the works of justice I would do,
my joys and sufferings.
When I come to the Eucharistic altar,
gather my offerings to your own
for the life of the world.
At the end of the day,
place me with Mary, your mother,
with St. N. and all the saints
by your side, forever surrounded by your love. Amen.
B
Eternal Father,
I offer You everything I do this day:
my work, my prayers, my apostolic efforts;
my time with family and friends;
my hours of relaxation;
my difficulties, problems and distress,
which I shall try to bear with patience.
Join these, my gifts,
to the unique offering
which Jesus Christ, your Son,
renews today in the Eucharist.
Grant, I pray, that,
vivified by the Holy Spirit,
my life this day
may be of service to you and your children
and help consecrate the world to you. Amen.
C
God, our Father,
I offer you my day,
my prayers, thoughts and words,
my actions, joys, and sufferings
in union with the Christ your Son,
for the salvation of the world.
May the Holy Spirit, who guided Jesus,
be my guide and my strength today
so that I may witness to your love.
With Mary, the mother of our Lord and the Church,
with Saint N and all your saints
I pray for my family and friends,
for the sick and the suffering,
those at home and those who are travelling
(mention other particular intentions)
and all the clergy and religious
especially our Holy Father Francis
and bishop N.
both of whose intentions
I commend to your goodness.
